Sources in the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the Turkish Armed Forces' preparations for a possible evacuation of Turkish and foreign citizens from Lebanon in light of the military escalation following the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since last Monday. The sources said in a media circular today, Thursday: "The Turkish Armed Forces have the ability and capabilities necessary to carry out the tasks assigned to them in order to safely evacuate our citizens or foreign nationals from Lebanon, as they have successfully carried out many evacuation operations before." The same sources confirmed that the Turkish Ministry of Defense is closely following developments in Lebanon in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that it is conducting initial planning and preparations within the scope of a possible evacuation operation." The sources stressed that humanitarian aid to Lebanon will continue in coordination with other institutions "in line with Beirut's demands and security conditions." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
