The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 931 PKK militants in the ongoing battles of Operation the Claw Lock in northern Iraq. The spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Zaki Ak Turk, said in a media briefing today that 3,981 people have been arrested for trying to infiltrate the country illegally since the beginning of this year. Ak Turk pointed out that a cave consisting of 4 rooms belonging to ISIS militants was recently seized in the Qabal al-Makhlab operations area in northern Iraq, containing anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons, rocket launchers, mortar bombs, automatic rifles, large quantities of ammunition, and wireless communication devices. He said that the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) takes the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq as its stronghold, and is active in many cities, regions and valleys, from which it launches attacks into the Turkish interior, and that the Turkish army is working hard to dry up the sources of terrorism.
