Turkish authorities, on Monday, apprehended 75 illegal migrants off the coast of Bodrum district in Mugla province, west of Turkiye. In a statement, Turkish Coast Guard reported that its teams spotted a sailboat carrying illegal migrants off the coast of Bodrum, adding that 75 migrants, including 27 children, were apprehended. Turkish-Bulgarian, Turkish-Greek borders and Turkish beaches witness an increasing number of illegal migrants who pursue land and sea lanes to cross to one of the European countries, with the Turkish Police using various techniques to prevent infiltration attempts through borders.
