Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Turkish Parliament Fuat Oktay said that what Ankara aspires to is to stop the massacres committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible and to establish an independent Palestinian state. Oktay stressed in a statement during his hosting at the headquarters of the Turkish Parliament in the capital Ankara, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Russian Duma Leonid Slutsky and his accompanying delegation today, Tuesday, the necessity of "removing the stigma from the history of all humanity as soon as possible," referring to the massacres committed by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He said: "The unconditional support of Western countries, especially the United States of America, for these massacres is a disgrace to humanity." He explained that Turkey and Russia are pivotal countries in the region, and that strengthening their relations is of great importance to ensure regional stability and resolve regional and internatio nal problems. For his part, Slutsky said: "The Palestinian issue is very important for both countries, we need to work with all our might to end the brutality and massacre there." He added: "We need to do our utmost to stop the genocide in Palestine and mobilize parliamentary diplomacy for this." He continued: "In order to bring peace to Palestine, we must engage in this issue and diversify tools by activating the necessary mechanisms." He stressed that the brutality committed by Israel in Palestine with Washington's support is a great shame on the forehead of humanity, the supremacy and hegemony of the United States has ended, and its support for Israel is the straw that broke the camel's back."
