Turan: The session to elect Kirkuk governor and provincial council chairman is illegal

The presidency of the United Iraqi Turkmen Front list described the session to elect the governor and the head of the council as a violation and illegal. Hassan Turan, head of the United Iraqi Turkmen Front list, head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, said in a press conference that the session was held in Baghdad without agreement between the components. He added the session to elect the governor and the head of the council is considered a violation of the law, noting that the session was not held with the knowledge or invitation of the oldest head of the provincial council, which confirms its violation of Article Seven of the Provincial Councils Law No. (21) Of 2008, so we consider the outcomes of the session to be a violation of the law and we will resort to the judiciary to invalidate its outcomes.
