Amman: The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) renewed the public telecommunications individual license agreement granted to Jordan Telecommunications Company (JTEL), also known as (Orange Jordan). According to a TRC statement Thursday, the renewal agreement was signed by the Commission's Chairman, Bassam Sarhan, and CEO of Orange Jordan, Philippe Mansour, for a 15-year period from the date of its expiration. Sarhan said the commission is working to provide the "necessary" capabilities for the Kingdom's telecom providers operating in the Jordanian market to provide various telecom services to citizens. Sarhan added that this vision contributes to attract investments to Jordan's telecom sector and develop other businesses that depend on these services. Source: Jordan News Agency
