The General Traffic Department launched an initiative to honor exemplary drivers, to encourage them to adhere to traffic laws, to enhance awareness and a culture of road safety, in conjunction with the comprehensive traffic awareness campaign 'And do not walk on the ground cheerfully,' which the Traffic Department recently launched. Director General of Traffic, Brigadier General Dr. Bakil Muhammad Al-Barashi, confirmed that the initiative comes based on the general directives issued by the leadership of Interior Ministry, and within the framework of the traffic awareness plan, to motivate and honor drivers who demonstrate safe and responsible driving model . He stated that violating and reckless drivers who commit violations will also be monitored, stressing that the program will be documented in audio,video from reality and broadcast in various media outlets. For his part, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Colonel Salim Shaif Nasher, confirmed that the initiative aims to stimulate a culture of safe driving, improve the level of traffic safety, and encourage society to assume its responsibilities in enhancing a safe traffic environment on the roads.
