Traffic Police on Sunday called on drivers of cars and vehicles to avoid crossing during heavy rains and floods on roads, mountain slopes and low-lying areas. The Traffic Police warned drivers in a statement to exercise caution and care as heavy rains continue to fall on the capital Sana'a, Sana'a provinces, and various areas of the republic, with low horizontal visibility, especially in the mountainous heights, due to fog and clouds. It stressed that drivers should refrain from crossing the old Sana'a stream, bridges and tunnels, and adhere to traffic safety guidelines and instructions issued by traffic police. The Traffic Police warned of the dangers of rock collapses on roads and in mountainous areas that witness heavy rains, as this poses a danger to their lives and property. The Traffic Police called on everyone to avoid excessive speed to ensure everyone's safety, and to report any traffic congestion or emergency situations that require ambulance and rescue by calling 194.
