A 3-year-old toddler died of drowning on Saturday in a pool of a rest house in Wadi al-Rayyan in the town of Jadiata, part of the Al Koura District, in northern Jordan, said Mohammad Abu Halawa, director of the Princess Raya Public Hospital in the town of Deir Abi Said. Abu Halawa told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that Civil Defense personnel rushed to the site and plucked the toddler from the pool. They brought him to the ambulance and attempted to resuscitate him, but he died before arriving at the hospital.
