Inspection teams in the Diyala Health Department seized 3 shipments of smuggled medicines north of Baqubah, Diyala Governorate Center. Director of Diyala Health Media, Fares Al-Azzawi, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the inspection teams, through their detachments present at the security controls at the main entrances north and northeast of Baqubah, seized 3 vehicles loaded with large shipments of unexamined smuggled medicines coming from the Kurdistan region. He added that the seized medicines were confiscated and delivered along with the vehicles and their drivers to the competent authorities to take legal measures against them.
