NABLUS: Three Palestinians Wednesday evening sustained injuries from Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in the Balata refugee camp, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). PRCS said that its crews provided first aid treatment to three civilians who were injured in the course of the confrontations in the camp and rushed them to a hospital. It elaborated that the casualties were a 16-year-old teen who sustained an injury from live gunfire in the foot, another civilian who sustained an injury from live ammunition in the neck and another injured by shrapnel in the hand. The confrontations broke out as a result of the occupation forces storming the camp and the eastern area of Nablus. Sounds of explosions could be heard. Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids, which take place al so in areas under the full control of the State of Palestine, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
