The third soccer tournament in Sana'a Province kicked off at the Jil Al-Risalah Sports Academy stadium, as part of the sports activities to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. Twenty-two sports teams, divided into five groups, participated in the tournament, which will last for 26 days. The opening match between Umm Al-Qura and Al-Farusiya teams ended with Umm Al-Qura's team winning by five goals to three. The opening was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth, Mohsen Hadban, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the province Abdul Mohsen Al-Sharif, his deputy Abdullah Al-Nasif, Director of Sports Activity Captain Nabil Al-Namous, a number of directors of sports clubs in Sana'a Al-Jadida , Sinhan districts, and President of Jil Al-Risalah Academy Dr. Jamil Al-Tayyar.
