Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed that this stage is extremely difficult and requires unifying ranks and words. According to a statement by Al- Sudani media office, "The Prime Minister received the President of the Republic and reviewed the developments in the region, especially after the escalation of war crimes against the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, and after the criminal act that resulted in the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. It was stressed that "this stage is extremely difficult and requires unifying ranks and words, as well as mobilizing international efforts to immediately stop all forms of aggression against the two brotherly peoples, in a way that achieves real stability in the region and preserves the lives of its peoples and the security of its citizens."
