Gaza - Together - Palestinian Water Authority teams began carrying out restoration and maintenance work, with the aim of connecting water lines to the residents of the Gaza Strip. According to the Commission's announcement, its teams worked in Gaza City and in the Bani Suhaila neighborhood, north of the Khan Yunis area. Israel Today newspaper says, 'In fact, this is the beginning of the reconstruction work of the Gaza Strip on behalf of the Palestinian Authority, as promised by its new government. Last week, additional quantities of fuel were brought into the northern Gaza Strip, amounting to 7,000 litres. Through the Water Authority, which transported the supply, it would be used to operate water well pumps in Jabalia and Gaza City. This was in fact a significant increase in fuel supplies to the northern Gaza Strip. According to the Water Authority, the goal is to prevent water shortages in this area. It should be noted that restoring the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip is one of Hamas' demands within t he framework of negotiations to reach an agreement to release prisoners. Another of Hamas' demands is to increase humanitarian supplies directed to the Gaza Strip.
