The State Forces Alliance bloc confirmed its support for amending the Personal Status Law, stating: "This amendment comes in response to the diverse requirements and needs of society." The bloc said in a statement: "The proposed amendment provides citizens with logical options that suit different circumstances and situations, which enhances the principle of personal freedom and respects the diversity of society." It stressed the right of every citizen to choose what is most appropriate for him in dealing with his personal status, in accordance with his convictions and special circumstances. It called on all parties, members of the House of Representatives and political forces, to cooperate in order to pass this amendment in a way that serves the interests of citizens and preserves the cohesion of the social fabric.
