Baghdad: The Prime Minister launched a package of projects to develop the city of Adhamiya. The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement: 'Al-Sudani launched two projects to relieve traffic congestion in Adhamiyah. The first included constructing a new bridge linking Al-Kadhimiya and Adhamiyah, while the other included connecting the Muhammad Al-Qasim Bridge to Al-Mashatel Street, Antar Square - Al-Dalal Square.' He added: "The Prime Minister directed the implementation of a cleaning and rehabilitation campaign for the streets and alleys of Adhamiya and its parks, the development and rehabilitation of residential areas 308 and 310, and the completion of the development of 8 main streets." He also directed the creation and implementation of gates befitting the status of the city of Adhamiya, the development of the banks of the Tigris River with a length of 1650 meters (Al-Masnaya Corniche, Al-Adhamiya Corniche/Al-Kasra), and the allocation of land to grant investment opportunities for the establi shment of modern hotels within the city. Al-Sudani announced the launch of work on the project to install a secondary electrical station 33/11, install box stations, and create the required feeders to remove bottlenecks in electrical power supply. He directed that plots of land be allocated to build (21) schools, and their construction be included in a succession, and the rehabilitation and rebuilding of 47 schools, while a project was announced to rehabilitate and establish (10) health centers, rehabilitate the old Al-Numan Hospital, and resume work that has been suspended since 2014. The Prime Minister launched work on a project to rehabilitate the mosque and shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa al-Numan (may God be pleased with him) and expand the Hazrat al-Hanafiyyah by completing expropriations, adding ancillary service facilities, and establishing a multi-storey parking lot to serve visitors. The Prime Minister directed to solve the problem of the Scouts Stadium, the Vanguard Theater rehabilitation project, the rehabilitation of the nursing home, the river taxi project, and the dredging and rehabilitation of the banks of the Tigris River.
