The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Wednesday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Minister of Trade, Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri. A presidential statement stated that during the meeting, the food security file and the ongoing development in the commercial and economic fields were discussed, as the President stressed the importance of supporting the food basket and securing the items of the ration card for its beneficiaries, and enhancing stability in market prices. The President stressed the need to support the private sector by providing the necessary facilities for it to play its role in providing basic commodities, in addition to paying attention to developing trade exchange and achieving a balance between us and the rest of the world in a way that benefits Iraq. For his part, the Minister of Trade provided an explanation of the workflow in the ministry and the plans in place to improve the services provided to citizens by providing the items of the ration card in a way tha t achieves economic and commercial stability in the country.
