The President of the Republic receives the Georgian Ambassador on the occasion of the end of his duties

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Georgia, Zaza Kandelaki, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq.

The President stressed the importance of strengthening relations between Iraq and Georgia, expressing the desire to develop them to include multiple fields, pointing to the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in order to achieve the higher interests of the two friendly countries, wishing Ambassador Kandelaki success in his next duties, and appreciating the efforts he made throughout his tenure in Iraq.

For his part, the Georgian Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the president, stressing his country's desire to consolidate relations with Iraq for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries.

At the end of the meeting, the President entrusted the Ambassador with his greetings to the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
