The President of the Republic receives an official invitation to attend the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received an official invitation from the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games scheduled to start next week in Paris. On Monday, the President received at Baghdad Palace the President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muften, who handed him the invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympics. During the meeting, the President stressed the importance of providing all means and requirements for success for Iraqi athletes participating in the Olympics, calling for making every possible effort to achieve positive results that raise Iraq's name high in this international forum. For his part, Aqeel Muften gave a presentation of the latest preparations of our athletes before entering the Olympic competitions, praising the President's interest and continued support for the athletes and the sports movement.
