Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, a phone call from the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr. A Presidential statement said: "During the phone call, congratulations were exchanged on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, with both sides expressing their best wishes to the brotherly Iraqi and Qatari peoples." The two sides stressed the strong relations between the two countries, and the importance of strengthening and developing them in various fields of common interest. They touched on the ongoing aggression in Gaza, stressing the necessity of immediately stopping the war and providing relief to the brotherly Palestinian people, and the importance of the international community assuming its legal and moral responsibilities.
