The President of the Republic praises the antiquity and authenticity of Muthanna Governorate and its effective role in establishing the Iraqi state

The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, praised the antiquity and authenticity of Muthanna Governorate and its effective role in establishing the Iraqi state. A Presidential statement said that the President of the Republic met today, Thursday, in the city of Samawah, a group of community and academic figures, tribal sheikhs and dignitaries of Muthanna Governorate. The President of the Republic expressed his happiness to visit Muthanna Governorate and his pride in meeting its sons, officials and citizens, praising the antiquity and authenticity of the governorate and its effective role in establishing the Iraqi state in the twenties of the last century. During the meeting, the President referred, according to a statement by his office, to the challenges facing Muthanna Governorate at various levels, noting at the same time that it possesses great capabilities that qualify it to overcome these challenges and transform from the poverty line to one of the most prosperous governorates in I raq. The President called on political blocs and social forces to unite and rally behind a unified government program to combat corruption in all its forms, which everyone works to support and implement, stressing the need to support the local government effort made by the governorate administration in this field. The President listened to a number of proposals, ideas and problems from the attendees, where they were discussed and opinions were exchanged regarding them in order to find solutions capable of addressing them.
