Ramallah - Ma'an - President Mahmoud Abbas issued a presidential decree promoting Brigadier General Allam Al-Saqa to the rank of Major General and appointing him as Director General of the Palestinian Police effective September 1, 2024. The president also issued a presidential decree referring Major General Yousef Ali Al-Helou, Director General of the Palestinian Police, to retirement effective September 1, 2024.
