Gaza - Ma'an - The Israeli army issued new evacuation orders on Saturday for the remaining residents of the southern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, in preparation for a military operation. The Israeli army called on the residents who remained in the southern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis to evacuate immediately and move temporarily to what it described as the "new humanitarian zone in the Al-Mawasi area." "In light of the numerous terrorist activities and rocket fire towards the State of Israel from within the western neighborhoods of Khan Yunis, it has become dangerous to be present in that area," the army said in a statement. "Therefore, at this stage, the area will be adjusted based on accurate intelligence indicating that Hamas has established terrorist infrastructure within the area that has been designated as a humanitarian zone." He added that the Israeli army will operate "forcefully" in the area, "and therefore calls on the residents who remained in the southern neighborhood s of Khan Yunis to evacuate them immediately and move temporarily to the newly created humanitarian zone in the Mawasi area."
