The Service said in a statement: "Based on the security and intelligence responsibility of the National Security Service in combating all phenomena that threaten societal and national security, we announce the launch of the first cybersecurity platform in Iraq," noting that "security and military operations alone are not sufficient to confront phenomena, as there must be awareness and education campaigns targeting society in order to fortify itself against these phenomena." He added that "based on this topic, the National Security Service participated in the book fair at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds, and the goal of participation is to build bridges of trust and cooperation with citizens, as well as to introduce the official platforms and the mechanism of communication with the National Security Service," noting that "more than one team went down to the Baghdad International Fairgrounds, the first team is specialized in cybersecurity, and the second team is a volunteer team that went down to the special wing of the National Security Service to distribute awareness publications." He pointed out that "this platform secures the links used by citizens for fear that these links may carry some malicious files and also to know whether citizens' data is leaked or not," indicating that "citizens can access this platform called Aman and it is easy to use."
