Baghdad, The Director General of the International Cooperation Department in the Ministry of Planning discussed with the Regional Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Anil Chandrika, today, Wednesday, the projects and programs of the United Nations Regional Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The Ministry stated in a statement, 'The meeting came as a continuation of the follow-up of international commitments towards Iraq, and to discuss the United Nations' efforts in implementing projects for the previous period, and to present government procedures and contexts that would organize work contexts, as well as to discuss the current projects being implemented by the office in Iraq and funded from donors, and expanding the horizons of cooperation with the UNOPS.' The statement stressed, "The importance of international efforts being compatible with needs and priorities for the purpose of filling development gaps, in addition to strengthening partnership with the relevant ministries and g overnorates."
