The Minister stressed the necessity of activating the work of the joint Iraqi-Bahraini committee and holding its meetings as soon as possible through approved diplomatic channels to stimulate the trade movement between the two countries. He also called on the Bahraini side to actively participate in the upcoming forty-eighth session of the Baghdad International Fair. For his part, the Bahraini Minister affirmed his country's desire to open up its economic and commercial relations with Iraq, in a way that supports the interests of the two brotherly peoples, and exploits the opportunities available in the Iraqi market, stressing the agreement to hold joint committee meetings soon and in a manner consistent with the interests of the two countries.
