Baghdad, The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived today, Thursday, at the Fallujah Police Directorate at the head of a security delegation that included the Undersecretary for Police Affairs, the Assistant Security Expert for Operations Affairs, and a number of directors in the Ministry of Interior, to supervise the transfer of security responsibility for the city of Fallujah from the Ministry of Defense. The minister and his accompanying delegation were received by the Governor of Anbar. The minister's media office stated in a statement: 'This visit comes to review and supervise the level of readiness and to begin assuming security responsibility after the committee charged with transferring powers completes all its procedures and carries out numerous exercises for this purpose.' The Minister listened to a brief explanation of the level of readiness and its evaluation of the transfer of security responsibility from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Interior.
