Baghdad, Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived today, Tuesday, in the Iranian capital, Tehran, at the head of a high-level security delegation. A statement by the Minister's office said: "This visit comes in response to the invitation extended by the Iranian Minister of Interior, Ahmed Vahidi, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Police, to discuss a number of issues of common interest between the two neighboring countries." The delegation included the Commander of the Border Forces, the Director-General of Narcotics Control, the Ministry's Security Advisor, the Director-General of Training and Rehabilitation, the Director-General of Civil Status, Passports and Residence, and a number of commanders and officers of the Ministry.
