Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received today, Tuesday, a copy of the credentials of the new Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Christopher David Beam. The Minister stressed during the meeting, according to a statement by the ministry, the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to strengthen and develop them in various fields, especially in the economic and commercial sectors. He also stressed Iraq's keenness to advance joint cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two countries. For his part, Ambassador Beam expressed his commitment to continue supporting the distinguished relations between Iraq and Canada, and working to develop them in the next stage. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the ministry's readiness to provide all necessary facilities to support the Ambassador's tasks and ensure his success in performing his new work.
