Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi arrived in Italy on an official visit that will last several days. He was received by his Italian counterpart, Guido Crosetto, who welcomed him, his accompanying delegation, and the Iraqi ambassador to Rome, Siwan Barzani. According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, Al-Abbasi expressed his happiness with this visit, during which he will be briefed on Italian military industries. For his part, the Italian Minister stressed Italy's seriousness in assisting the Iraqi Armed Forces, noting that there had been an opportunity to assist the Iraqi Air Force recently. Regarding the Palestinian issue, the Italian Minister of Defense affirmed his country's support for the project of a two-state solution and extinguishing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, stressing Italy's support for the Palestinian people and providing them with the necessary assistance.
