The Iraqi Red Crescent Society announced the preparation of more than 340 tons of food aid and medicines to be sent to Gaza with the support of the Iraqi government. It said in a statement, "The Iraqi Red Crescent crews prepared more than 300 tons of food aid, in addition to preparing more than 40 tons of medicines and medical materials in order to send them to Gaza via Jordan and Egypt." The statement added, "The aid will be transported by land by truck and then transported through the port of Aqaba in Jordan to be transported by sea to Egypt through the port of Nuweiba, arriving at the Rafah crossing." The statement explained, "The aid transfer process will be under the supervision of the Iraqi Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Jordanian Red Crescent and the Egyptian Red Crescent.
