Baghdad, The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a driver who ran over students in Basra, leading to the death of 6 students and the injury of 14 others. The Spokesman for the Interior and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement: Basra Governorate Police arrested the driver of a refrigerator truck who ran over a number of school students, leading to the death of 6 and the injury of 14 others with various injuries in Al-Hartha area, north of Basra Governorate. He explained that according to the initial confessions, the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle due to a brake failure, which caused the run-over accident during the end of official school hours.
