The US Army announced that the Houthis launched drones and anti-ship missiles yesterday, Friday, after US-British strikes on their sites in various regions of Yemen. The US military command in the Middle East (Centcom) said on the X platform on Friday, it intercepted 4 drones launched by the Houthis, 3 of which were in the Red Sea and one in the Gulf of Aden, and a fifth drone crashed in the sea. The US Central Command stated that the Houthis also fired two anti-ship ballistic missiles from Yemen towards the Gulf of Aden "without causing any injuries or damage." The Houthis vowed earlier on Friday to intensify their attacks against ships off Yemen after American and British strikes on their sites resulted in the death of 16 people and the injury of a number of others, in a toll that is considered one of the largest announced by the Houthis since the United States began in January at the head of the Military Coalition, launching strikes against their positions. Since last November, the Houthis have launche d dozens of attacks with missiles and drones in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea on Israeli ships or heading to Israeli ports, in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which for months has been witnessing continuous Israeli aggression that has left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded and the complete destruction of the infrastructure in the Strip.
