The government expressed its full readiness to support the requirements for the success of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections. The official spokesman for the Iraqi government, Bassem Al-Awadi, said in a statement: 'The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, reaffirmed his support for holding elections for the parliament of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, and welcomed the decision of the region's presidency to set a date for them to be held next October.' He added: "The government expresses its full readiness to support the requirements for the success of this electoral process, and to do everything to enhance the participation of our Kurdish people and the rest of the fraternal sects in the region, so that the results of the electoral process to be the true expression of the will of our people in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and represent their free, democratic choices for further enhance stability and development and achieve the aspirations of citizens in choosing their representatives in the legi slative authority of the region.' The government affirmed, according to the statement, its support for efforts to revitalize the national dialogue between all national political forces in the region, and all movements seeking joint national action under the umbrella of the law, the constitution, and the national identity of our one Iraq, and through positive participation in democratic construction and the promotion of civil and societal peace in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and the rest of our dear homeland.'
