Bani Saad district in Diyala Governorate recorded the first case of hemorrhagic fever during the current year. A local source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a case of hemorrhagic fever was recorded in a 25-year-old female patient in one of the villages of Bani Saad district, southwest of Baquba. He added that veterinary measures were taken in the affected area, which include controlling and spraying the area around the site of the infection and prohibiting the movement of livestock in the area in coordination with health authorities. Last year, Diyala Governorate recorded 18 cases of hemorrhagic fever, including 4 cases who died due to the severity of the infection. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
