The Independent High Electoral Commission set, today, Tuesday, the date and times for voting in the Kurdistan Region Parliament elections. The Commission indicated in a statement that: "The polling centers and stations for the 2024 Kurdistan Region Parliament elections will open at seven in the morning and close at six in the evening for special voting," indicating: "Friday, October 18, 2024 will be for special voting and Sunday, October 20, 2024 will be for general voting." It continued, "There will be no extension of the voting process, as the process of opening and closing polling stations will be electronic," stressing that "voting will be using the biometric voter card only." It added, "According to the decision of the Supreme Security Committee, it is prohibited to bring mobile phones and cameras into polling stations and centres, with the exception of the centres designated for media personnel."
