The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, visited the Anbar Operations Sector today, Saturday, to assess the security situation and the readiness of the military units. A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that Yarallah visited the Anbar Operations Sector, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Operations, the Commander of the Land Forces, the Deputy Director of Military Intelligence, the Director of the Planning Authority for the Land Forces Command, and the Secretary of Intelligence for the Chief of Staff of the Army. He was received by the Commander of Operations, the Commander of the Tenth Infantry Division, and the Commander of the Habbaniyah Base. The first stop, according to the statement, was a visit to the base, during which he listened to a detailed briefing on the tasks, functions, and readiness of the base and its joints, in addition to the most important obstacles and ways to address them by proposing solutions to secure its requir ements. The second stop was a visit to the Operations Command, where a security meeting was held during which the concerned parties provided a detailed explanation of the sector of responsibility and the distribution of units to ensure protection of roads, borders and the desert in cooperation with the rest of the security services. Yarallah directed the leaders and commanders to be cautious and careful in dealing with the current situation and security challenges. The next stop for the Chief of Staff of the Army, according to the statement, was a visit to the headquarters of the 10th Infantry Division to view the buildings and other joints recently constructed through self-efforts. He praised the members of the division, including officers, ranks and technical cadres.
