The army and the PMF carry out a security operation south of Nineveh

A joint force from the Nineveh Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization Forces, in cooperation with the Iraqi army units, carried out a large-scale security operation on Sunday to secure and search southern Nineveh. The Popular Mobilization Commission media stated in a statement that " the Operations, Intelligence and Communications Department in the command participated in the operation, as well as the 44th and 21st brigades, counter-terrorism detachments and the 43rd brigade of the Iraqi army, to conduct a complete survey and search of Hatra desert, south of Nineveh Governorate." The operation aims to pursue terrorist elements, dry up their sources and impose security and stability throughout the governorate. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
