The 'Azm, National Resolution, and Sovereignty' Alliances called on the Presidency of the House of Representatives, today, Monday, to expedite holding a session to elect a new Speaker of the House. They said in a statement, 'Based on our belief in the necessity of adhering to the decisions of the Federal Court, the Constitution, and political entitlements, in order to preserve the country's highest interest, and to activate the role of the House of Representatives in oversight legislation, and in response to the request submitted and signed by more than 150 MPs, and in reference to the House of Representatives' vote to hold a session to elect the Speaker of the House, ' We call on the Presidency of the House of Representatives to expedite the holding of this session as soon as possible and not to delay it under any circumstances or justification.' They promised, 'Holding a session to elect the Council's President is a decisive, necessary and urgent step towards achieving political and institutional stabilit y in Iraq.'
