SANA'A - SABA: The Cooperative Union for Textiles, Clothing, and Productive Families has expressed strong support for the implementation of Republican Decree No. 150, which provides significant incentives and privileges for the local textile sector. The decree, issued based on a joint report by the Tax Authority and the Chamber of Commerce, aims to boost local clothing production and achieve self-sufficiency. The Union clarified that recent social media controversies regarding increased taxes were unfounded and emphasized that the decree's tax exemptions for local producers represent a major boost for the sector. The Union pledged to meet local demand with high-quality, competitively priced clothing and called for reduced reliance on imported garments to protect local jobs and production.
