The Tenders Committee in Al-Bayda Governorate, headed by Governor Abdullah Idris, approved tenders on Wednesday for service and development projects in several districts, funded by the local authority. The tenders included a project to maintain, restore, and rebuild the collapsed parts of the historic "Shammar Yahrash" castle in the city of Rada'a, due to rainfall, at 36 million and 500 thousand riyals, funded by the local authority. The meeting approved a project to construct ferries behind the sewage station in the city of Al-Bayda to drain water to avoid the spread of diseases, 17 million, funded by the Agricultural Projects Unit. He also approved the additional works for the "Ahmed bin Hanbal" basic school project in Dhi Na'im district, at 3 million riyals, and re-announced the tender for the "Asfar" school in the "Ould Rabie" district. The meeting commissioned a committee to purchase a sheol for the agricultural sector at 50 million riyals, and to purchase three sieves from the "Bonyan" development i nstitution by direct order, to be used for the benefit of local products and industries, at two million riyals, funded by the Agricultural Projects Unit. The Tender Committee referred several projects to the Technical Committee for study and appropriate action. At the meeting, Governor Idris stressed the importance of concerted efforts to implement the projects approved in the investment program for the current year, according to priority. He stressed the need for coordination between the technical committee and the concerned offices to contribute to the completion of development and service projects per specifications and in the specified time.
