The Community Initiatives Department in Hodeida Governorate provided 22,000 bricks and 337 bags of cement as a first phase for flood victims in Zabid District. The initiative, in partnership with the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the governorate, aims to alleviate the suffering of a number of families whose homes were severely damaged with the support of charitable, righteous and benevolent men. Hadi Hassan, Deputy Director of the Initiatives Department in the governorate, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the project contributes to sheltering about 65 families in Zabid whose homes were swept away by floods during the past weeks, and work was done to identify them in cooperation with the Agricultural Association and the Knights of Development in the directorate.
