“Support to Institute of Public Administration of Jordan” project concluded

Institute of Public Administration (IPA) Wednesday concluded "Support to the Institute of Public Administration of Jordan" project, implemented in cooperation with the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), in partnership with the Italian National School of Administration. Funded by the Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the two-year project aims to contribute to implement the vision of government modernization by achieving goals of public sector modernization roadmap, which would contribute to achieve the IPA's institutional development and improve the performance of public sector employees under training and capacity building initiatives. Deputizing for Minister of State for Public Sector Development, Dr. Khair Abu Sailik, Chairman of the Civil Service and Public Administration Commission, Sameh Nasser, said this cooperation with partners represents a "distinguished" model of "constructive" partnership with various countries. Nasser added that this effort supports the "remarkable" development endeavors led by His Majesty in the paths of political, economic and administrative reform, to provide "high-quality" government services to citizens. Nasser added that this project serves the IPA's developmental and strategic objectives, in line with the Kingdom's modernization tracks, especially the public sector modernization roadmap approved by the government in August 2022, and the related Civil Service Human Resources Strategy, which emerged at the end of last year. Furthermore, Nasser hoped to achieve additional future cooperation in various fields and build on the current achievements. Nasser noted the project features key areas to support the capabilities of Jordanian employees and leaders, referring to "Government Leadership Program" prepared by experts from the Italian side. This program, he noted, comes within the framework of a comprehensive training program, aimed at building administrative directors in public department to manage "efficiently and competently" within the Kingdom's public sec tor institutions. The project also focused on supporting digital transformation and innovation within specialized training programs as international and local experts will be hired to complement the institute's efforts in this field, accordinng to an IPA statement.
