Jerusalem: A number of Palestinian civilians experienced suffocation at the Jaba military checkpoint, located northeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday. Local sources reported that soldiers stationed at the checkpoint halted vehicles and deployed tear gas canisters, resulting in several individuals suffering from suffocation.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the military presence at checkpoints leading to Jerusalem intensified, further obstructing the movement of citizens and leading to significant traffic congestion. The tightened measures have raised concerns among the local population regarding accessibility and safety.
