Producer price index for locally consumed goods during May 2024 The producer price index for locally consumed goods of local production recorded a sharp decline of 3.41%, and the producer price index for locally consumed goods reached 137.02 during the month of May 2024 compared to 141.85 during the month of April 2024 (base year 2019 = 100). Producer price index for exported goods during May 2024 The producer price index for goods exported from local production recorded a decrease of 2.08%, as the producer price index for goods exported from local production reached 110.03 during the month of May 2024 compared to 112.37 during the month of April 2024 (base year 2019 = 100). The movement of product prices within the m ain activities during the month of May 2024 The prices of goods produced from agriculture, forestry, and fishing activity recorded a sharp decline of 7.86%, whose relative importance constitutes 29.94% of the product basket, as a result of the sharp decline in the prices of goods within the activity of cultivating non-permanent crops by 14.39%, as the average price of each of: Cauliflower 3.30 shekels/kg, white cabbage 3.30 shekels/kg, green molokhiya with stems 4.82 shekels/kg, parsley 15.94 shekels/kg, ground tomatoes 3.10 shekels/kg, greenhouse cucumbers 1.60 shekels/kg, Persian eggplant 4.18 shekels/kg, and peppers. Sweet 2.37 shekels/kg, fauces 2.03 shekels/kg, green broad beans 9.00 shekels/kg, dry onions 3.29 shekels/kg, and potatoes 2.59 shekels/kg. The prices of commodities within the activity of growing permanent crops recorded a slight decrease of 0.98%, as the average price of each of: Lemon 3.22 shekels/kg, and oranges 5.66 shekels/kg. While the prices of goods within the fishing and aquacultu re activity recorded an increase of 0.94%, with the average price of Sultan Ibrahim fish and bream reaching 1,000 shekels/10 kg each. The prices of commodities within the animal production activity recorded an increase of 0.69%, as the average price of a live live calf reached 21.49 shekels/kg, and a live sheep reached 41.89 shekels/kg, despite the decrease in the average price of fresh eggs to 17.17 shekels/2 kg, and a large live broiler chicken to 14.12. Shekel/kg. The prices of water supply, sanitation activities, waste management and treatment also recorded a decrease of 0.43%, which constitute 1.50% of the product basket in relative importance. The prices of goods produced from manufacturing activities recorded a slight decrease of 0.09%, whose relative importance constitutes 58.92% of the product basket, due to the decrease in prices of goods produced within the following activities: Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products by 1.08%, processing and preserving meat by 0.43%, manufacturing fu rniture by 0.41%, and processing and preserving fruits, nuts and vegetables by 0.12%, despite the rise in prices of goods produced within the following activities: Manufacture of prepared animal feed by 2.47%, Manufacture of vegetable oils and vegetable and animal fats by 0.80%, Manufacture of bakery products by 0.55%, and Manufacture of grain mill products by 0.42%. The prices of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supplies recorded stability during the month of April 2024, as the index settled at 114.29, whose relative importance constitutes 8.23% of the product basket. The prices of mining and quarrying industry products also recorded stability during the month of May 2024, as the index settled at 103.04, whose relative importance constitutes 1.41% of the product basket.
