The training course on health education skills began today,Wednesday, in Taiz province, organized by the health office in the province, in cooperation with UNICEF. The course, which will last for four days, aims to provide 62 health workers in health facilities in the districts of Khadir, Shara'ab Al-Salam, Al-Silw, Mawiya, Shara'ab Al-Runa, Sam'a, Maqbanah, Haifan, and Al-Mawaset, with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide appropriate health education to patients and improve health services provided to the community in the centers. At the opening of the session, the Deputy Director of the Health and Population Office in the province, Dr. Fadl Al-Qubati, emphasized the importance of health education in improving the quality of services and the Ministry of Health's keenness to raise the level of community awareness of health aspects. While the Director of Health Education in the office, Dr. Nabil Al-Shami, explained that the course includes a group of lectures interspersed with discussions about the concepts and objectives of health education, effective communication skills with patients, methods of providing information, how to motivate the patient to change his behavior, and evaluating health education impact .
