The Security Media Cell announced today, Wednesday, the receiving of 5,000 Lebanese within 10 days through 3 ports. The spokesman for the cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement: "Iraq received approximately 5,000 Lebanese during the last ten days through Baghdad and Najaf airports and the Qaim border crossing." He added: "The Directorate of Residence Affairs continues the process of extending the entry visa for Lebanese citizens present in Iraq without the need to travel for a period of thirty days, and extending it again also based on the provisions of the Residence Law, with the continuation of granting the entry visa free of charge to Lebanese citizens," indicating: "This came in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of the Minister of Interior." He stressed: "The Lebanese can enter the country without a visa, through an entry stamp only according to previous directives." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
