The Security Media Cell announced the encirclement of a tunnel containing ISIS terrorist elements west of Nineveh. A statement by the cell stated that "a force from the 43rd Brigade in the 20th Division conducted a search operation within the sector of the Western Nineveh Operations Command, and monitored one of the tunnels with a number of ISIS terrorist gang elements inside, as these defeated elements opened fire on the force, which in turn immediately responded to the sources of fire, and the place was encircled by the brigade units and a force from the 44th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces and dealt with these terrorist elements.
