HE President of the Supreme Judiciary Council and President of the Court of Cassation Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi has praised the speech of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during the opening of the 53rd annual session of the Shura Council, stressing that it was comprehensive and reinforced the state's vision to achieve further progress and development in all fields. His Excellency said in a statement, that the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) fully supports the draft constitutional amendments, and affirms its commitment to implementing these amendments that achieve justice for all, adding that the SJC is certain that these amendments will enhance Qatar's position as a country that seeks to achieve a balance between the aspirations of the people and commitment to constitutional principles, which form the basis of the strength and unity of Qatari society, and are consistent with the nature of Qatari society. His Excellency also expressed his appreciation of HH the Amir's directives regarding the draft constitutional amendments, which reflect His Highness's keenness to strengthen the unity of the Qatari people, and ensure the principle of equality among citizens in rights and duties.
