GAZA: Medical sources announced the death of a six-year-old child due to starvation and dehydration, bringing the number of victims of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip to 39. The child, who was identified as Ali Anas Al-Tatar died in the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City due to malnutrition and dehydration. According to a report published by the Foundation for the Care of the Families of the Martyrs and the Wounded, the number of deaths registered in the southern provinces as a result of the starvation policy implemented by the occupation forces since October 7, 2023, has risen to 39. The director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip has warned of a widespread prevalence of skin diseases in the Strip, especially among children. According to local officials and international organizations, the northern Gaza Strip; home to nearly 700,000 people, is suffering from acute food and vegetable shortages as a result of Israel's continued closure of border crossings and its ban on the entry of aid truck s to the north, bringing the ghost of famine back to the forefront. The Israeli military took control of the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt on May 7th, halting the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip and banning the wounded and sick from traveling abroad for treatment, thus exacerbating the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, specifically in the north.
